The AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser and AHA/BHA Cream in the Lytera® 2.0 Advanced Pigment Correcting System contains an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun an particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using these products and for a week following.
Sunscreen is required to optimize and maintain the results of using the system.
Store at room temperature 15°c – 30°c (59°F – 86°F).
Do not use Retinol Complex if you are pregnant, lactating, or planning to become pregnant. Mild redness, peeling, and irritation may occur when using Retinol Complex.

Lytera® 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum is developed to work as both monotherapy and in combination with other treatment plans for optimal results. However, it is at the physician’s discretion whether or not to supplement the system with additional products.

What are common side effects?
During the clinical trials, no subjects reported adverse events. Mild peeling, redness, and irritation may occur when using Retinol Complex. Patients should be encouraged to consult with their healthcare provider if they are experiencing any side effects.
Can the system be used during pregnancy?
The system includes Retinol Complex. Patients should NOT use any retinol product if they are pregnant, lactating, or planning to become pregnant.
How long should the system last?
If used according to the directions, each system should last approximately 90 days.
How many steps are there in the treatment regimen?
There are 4 steps recommended in the morning and 4 steps in the evening.
How long should patients use the system?
Hyperpigmentation is a chronic condition and results may vary depending on severity of the condition. In a clinical efficacy and tolerability study, the Lytera® 2.0 Advanced Pigment Correcting System was studied over 12 weeks. Results were documented at weeks 4, 8, and 12. For optimal results and long-term maintenance, patients must adhere to the treatment plan, use sunscreen daily, and avoid excessive sun exposure.
